From Friends to Founders
We are Gina, Tracy, and Crystal, three friends who, like many, were looking for a way to unplug, connect, and have some fun. We found all of that and more in a game we knew nothing about: Mahjong!
What started as a single lesson quickly evolved into daily play and practice. We fell in love with the game aesthetic, the blend of strategy and luck, and the vibrant social energy that comes with the game.
We realized our local community needed a modern fun space to enjoy Mahjong. That's how Mahjong Social was born. Our mission is to bring the community together to learn and play Mahjong in a relaxed, social atmosphere. We hope you enjoy your seat at our table! Cheers, Gina, Tracy, & Crystal

Hi I’m Gina. Born and raised in Palm Harbor and now reside in Tarpon Springs, I'm excited to share the next fun game night with my hometown. Mahjong brings my love for event planning, hosting and competition together all in one! When I'm not playing Mahj with my girls, you’ll find me exploring local food spots with my husband, cheering on Tampa sports or spending time with my beloved two doodles.

Hi, I’m Tracy, one of the founders of Mahjong Social. I fell in love with Mahjong for its strategic element, the aesthetics, and the way it brings friends and new friends together.
My goal is to make Mahjong approachable, welcoming, social and a little bit glamorous. I can’t wait to share that with our community! Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned player and obsessed, I want to make your experience unforgettable and fun.
Crystal Tananykin

I am proud to be one of the creators behind Mahjong Social, where community and coastal elegance meet at the mahjong table. I am a wife, mom, and dog mom to our bernedoodle, Hemmingway. I relocated to Florida in 2021, and quickly fell in love with the sunshine, coastal energy, and the vibrant community that inspired much of what we are building.
I've always had a passion for teaching, hosting, and bringing people together, so helping to build Mahjong Social felt like the perfect next step to bring mahjong to the community. Our goal is to to create a welcoming space where anyone can Sip, Socialize, & Play!
